Big Foot bikes!

Big Foot bikes!
Talofa Lava bloggers. During this week we have had 2 lovely visitors from a company Big foot Bikes! They came to teach beginners how to ride bikes and teach them some tips and tricks. We all had so much fun riding cool bikes. We did games on the bikes and a whole bunch of people found out that it's against the law to ride your bike without a helmet!! Each class had two sessions with our coaches Henry and Caroline. I have to admit they were really good coaches that they were overall my most favorite. After we finished our sessions one of the coaches, Caroline gave us badges and a big foot pencil while Henry was putting the bikes away. Some people even got to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels on the bike!?! They looked like they were struggling a bit but they got the hang of biking in one day which is awesome. Caroline & Henry taught us how to tighten or loosen the helmet when riding a bike they also told us, when you want to change the gear you make sure you're riding the bike! I have a question has this company come to your school? Here are some photos from the day we rid the bikes hope you like them! Catch you later bloggers✌

Athletics!

Athletics!
Aloha bloggers! On the 19th of November my school had Athletics. We did a whole bunch of cool stations. We all got into our age groups and started to go to the different stations that we got assigned too. I was with the 10 & 11 year old girls but I am 10. Our first station we did first was shot put. My most favourite ones to do was High Jump, Sprints and the 200 metre run. Before the main event everyone in my school were practising for Athletics. At first for the 200 metres I thought it was going to go bad but surprisingly it went really good! For sprints I placed 1st twice which was good and then placed 2nd and 3rd in the rest of my sprints. A lot of other girls were super fast in my line for sprints. My least favourite was shot put because I'm not so good at throwing in shot put because of the weight of the shot put ball. My group managed to go to every station apart from the hurdles because there wasn't enough time for us to do the hurdles. We had lunch after our last station and got our house group flags out for house relays. If
you think it's the houses that you live in it's not. My house (Pukeko) won 2 of our rounds and came 3rd in our last 4 rounds. Overall I think we tried our best which is what matters most. Do you know who won.... It was PUKEKO!! If you do Athletics at your school what was your least favourite station? Thank you for doing the honours of reading my blog! Here are some photos.

The Unveiling!

The Unveiling!

Aloha bloggers! This week on Monday we had the honour to make culture people and put it on our very long blue fence. In term 3 we were making the designs for our culture people. When we finalized our design, my teacher drew the body onto the wood and my class took turns painting our culture person! It took awhile for the piece of art to be finished but it was worth the wait. We also had a garden unveiling. The oldest student (Alan) in our school along with the youngest student (Bella) got the honours to cut the ribbon that was around the garden! After they finished cutting both ribbons we sang our very own school song in front of people for the first time which was very cool. When the Garden unveiling was done we walked over to our culture people and did the unveiling for that. Our 2 teachers from Te Waka Ako flew 2 drones to take photos. Here are some photos from the day!

Futsal!

Futsal!
Bula Vinaka bloggers! This term my school have been doing a sport called Futsal. Each class gets to have there turn during the day. We always have Futsal on Wednesday, my class goes mid-day at 12:15.  So basically Futsal is just like football but you learn how to kick the soccerball properly. At the end of the lesson we play fun games and we get to compete againest each other! If you ever had the chance to do Futsal how would you feel doing futsal? Fun fact, Futsal is pretty much the samething as Football! In my opinion Futsal is a great way of learning football skills. Anyway, here are some photos from us doing futsal! Thank you for reading my blog and have a great day!

BEACH CLEAN!!

BEACH CLEAN!!
Bonjour bloggers and welcome to another blog. On the last day of term we went to our local beach Waikowhai Bay! We did this beach clean because we were supporting the climate change march. As you know we did go to one of their climate marches which was in term 2. The beach clean was really fun overall! Me and my friends saw some crabs coming out of their rock home! I thought the crabs were cute but I don't think my friends thought they were cute.... I found a lot of glass on the beach and heaps of bits from flower pots which was bad!! Anyway here are some photos!

Choir Rhearsal (Term 4)

Choir Rhearsal!! (Term 4)
Faakalofa Lahi Atu! On the 18 of October (Thursday) we walked down to Waikowhai Intermediate for our choir rhearsal. We were at Waikowhai Intermediate for the enire day but it was fun! When we arrived at Waikohwai intermidiate we went to the hall but the chairs weren't set up so my choir group set the chairs ready for th rest of the choir groups. This Rhearsal was the biggest out of all of the recent Rhearsals because both A-sides and B-sides came to this rhearsal. Most of our rhearsals it was just the B-sides which was my school and other schools. We stayed at Wai-int (Means Waikowhai Intermidiate) from 9:00 to 2:00 which was very long! After a long day we went to the playground at our school and had some free time while everyone was working in their classes. What I like about Mr Lambert is we get to see his comedy personality! He makes us laugh a lot. One thing I also like is getting to know other people from different schools. We have these choir rhearsal every once and awhile. If you've been to choir rhearsals before let me know what you thought about it! Thanks for reading my blog:) Appreciate it !
