The Unveiling!

The Unveiling!

Aloha bloggers! This week on Monday we had the honour to make culture people and put it on our very long blue fence. In term 3 we were making the designs for our culture people. When we finalized our design, my teacher drew the body onto the wood and my class took turns painting our culture person! It took awhile for the piece of art to be finished but it was worth the wait. We also had a garden unveiling. The oldest student (Alan) in our school along with the youngest student (Bella) got the honours to cut the ribbon that was around the garden! After they finished cutting both ribbons we sang our very own school song in front of people for the first time which was very cool. When the Garden unveiling was done we walked over to our culture people and did the unveiling for that. Our 2 teachers from Te Waka Ako flew 2 drones to take photos. Here are some photos from the day!

Futsal!

Futsal!
Bula Vinaka bloggers! This term my school have been doing a sport called Futsal. Each class gets to have there turn during the day. We always have Futsal on Wednesday, my class goes mid-day at 12:15.  So basically Futsal is just like football but you learn how to kick the soccerball properly. At the end of the lesson we play fun games and we get to compete againest each other! If you ever had the chance to do Futsal how would you feel doing futsal? Fun fact, Futsal is pretty much the samething as Football! In my opinion Futsal is a great way of learning football skills. Anyway, here are some photos from us doing futsal! Thank you for reading my blog and have a great day!

BEACH CLEAN!!

BEACH CLEAN!!
Bonjour bloggers and welcome to another blog. On the last day of term we went to our local beach Waikowhai Bay! We did this beach clean because we were supporting the climate change march. As you know we did go to one of their climate marches which was in term 2. The beach clean was really fun overall! Me and my friends saw some crabs coming out of their rock home! I thought the crabs were cute but I don't think my friends thought they were cute.... I found a lot of glass on the beach and heaps of bits from flower pots which was bad!! Anyway here are some photos!

Choir Rhearsal (Term 4)

Choir Rhearsal!! (Term 4)
Faakalofa Lahi Atu! On the 18 of October (Thursday) we walked down to Waikowhai Intermediate for our choir rhearsal. We were at Waikowhai Intermediate for the enire day but it was fun! When we arrived at Waikohwai intermidiate we went to the hall but the chairs weren't set up so my choir group set the chairs ready for th rest of the choir groups. This Rhearsal was the biggest out of all of the recent Rhearsals because both A-sides and B-sides came to this rhearsal. Most of our rhearsals it was just the B-sides which was my school and other schools. We stayed at Wai-int (Means Waikowhai Intermidiate) from 9:00 to 2:00 which was very long! After a long day we went to the playground at our school and had some free time while everyone was working in their classes. What I like about Mr Lambert is we get to see his comedy personality! He makes us laugh a lot. One thing I also like is getting to know other people from different schools. We have these choir rhearsal every once and awhile. If you've been to choir rhearsals before let me know what you thought about it! Thanks for reading my blog:) Appreciate it !

The Fijian Rugby World Cup 2K19 (My Version)

The Fijian Rugby World Cup Uniform!
Aloha! On the 26th of September we got to pick a Rugby team that we could make their Rugby World Cup uniform. I chose Fiji to make their uniform (my version) We got to decorate and colour the uniform however we wanted! I coloured my Fiji Uniform Blue with a bit of red, green and brown.

I am very proud of my drawing! I hope you can give me feedback on how my uniform looks like. We could get a photo of the actual uniform and get some inspirations from the REAL uniform. I tried to make the uniform as pacific-an as much as I could. I put some palm trees on the uniform along with one Hibiscus. Here is what my Fijian Uniform looks like for the Rugby World Cup!

Hope You Like it! Make sure to give feedback please!

Cross Country

Cross Country!
On the 11th of September my school had this running event called Cross Country. We do a whole bunch of fun and cool activities! Normally the year 0's and 1's do the run around our school first then the year 2's go after them. My all time favourite activity was the Obstacle course on the playground and bits of the field. Once you have done all the activity's you would have a word SKOR written on your wrist. The S stands for skipping, the K stands for kicking (soccer balls), the O stands for obstacle course and the R stands for running.

The year 6 ran at the end before packing all the activity's up. I am a year 6 too! The Run was long but it was also very fun. We did 2 laps around the field and the bush. Just before me and my friends reached the finish line we ended up racing each other there and that was super fun but tiring too. Sadly I did not place but at least I tried. When I go to my new intermediate I hope there will be cool running events there. Here are some photos from the day!

2K19 CAMP!!!

Camp!
On August 20th we went on a Johnston's bus to Mt Ruapehu for C
amp!! Before we went we got split into our colour groups, I was in Orange. My parents were Dustine and Kar Po. There were many more colour groups apart from Orange! In my group there were 4 boys and 4 girls and their names were Ayva, Me, Jia, Cassie, Villi, Jacob, Grayson and last but not least Flynn.

I was very excited about going on the Chairlifts and all there crazy ride able things! When we first got our ski's on I was very happy but also nervous because I thought I was gonna fall but I was really steady on the mountains! I got the hang of it and so did my friends! I thought I was going to fall on the first day but surprisingly I didn't at all which I was super happy about!! I hope next time I go Mt Ruapehu I will still have the skill to ski!

At our lodge that we were staying at we got to sleep on bunk beds. We could choose which bunk beds we wanted to sleep on for 3 days. My bedroom buddy's were Ayva, Ruta, Ashya, Leanah, Maddison & Rael ! It was the best Ski and Snowboard experience OF MY LIFE!!!

My favourite thing we did was Skiing & Snowboarding of course!! I really didn't want to leave the lodge it was so fun to sleep with your friends. Here is a photo of the Snowboarders and Skiers.
